Requests let you apply for benefits, request reimbursements, or submit other applications offered by your organization through CommuteHub. Depending on your organization's programs, you might be able to request a bike repair reimbursement, claim business travel expenses, apply for a transit pass subsidy, report a repair that needs attention, and more.
The available requests vary by organization, so you may not see all the examples mentioned in this article.
Where to find Requests
You can access your available requests from both the desktop dashboard and the mobile app.
- On desktop: Open your CommuteHub program and look for the available requests in the left sidebar.
- In the mobile app: Tap Account in the bottom navigation menu, then select Your Records.

How to submit a request
The information you need to provide depends on the type of request and your organization's requirements. Let's walk through an example of requesting a bike repair reimbursement.
Imagine you recently had your bike fixed and paid $80. Your organization offers up to $100 in bike repair reimbursements per year, so your expense falls within the annual limit. Here's how to submit your request.
|
1. Select the request Open Bike Repair Reimbursement from the available requests. The name and options may differ depending on your organization's program. 2. Fill out the required fields Enter the amount you paid ($80 in our example) and the date of the repair. Complete any other required fields and upload your receipt as proof of payment. 3. Add a comment and review the terms You may be able to add a short comment to provide additional details. Before submitting, carefully read the terms and conditions. Your organization might limit the number of claims you can make per year or set a maximum reimbursement amount. |
4. Submit your request
Once you've checked that all the information is correct and meets your organization's requirements, click Submit. Your request will be sent to your organization's designated reviewer.
What happens after you submit?
Once your request is submitted, your organization's CommuteHub Manager will review it and decide whether to approve or reject it.
- Wait for a decision: Your request may need to be reviewed before it can be finalized.
- Receive a notification: You'll be notified when a final decision has been made.
- Receive your reimbursement, if applicable: For approved reimbursement requests, payment may be processed through one of the following payroll periods, depending on your organization's process.
☝️Keep in mind that submitting a request doesn't automatically mean it will be approved. Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements and provide all the necessary information.
Can you edit or cancel a request?
Depending on the type and status of your request, you may have the option to edit or cancel it.
For example, imagine you submitted a request to have your organization's bike cage repaired. Later that day, you discover that the problem has mysteriously fixed itself. If the request allows cancellations, you can cancel it instead of having someone investigate an issue that no longer exists.
If you need to correct information or no longer need a request, open the relevant request and check which actions are available. Not every request supports editing or cancellation, and available actions may depend on its status.
If you have questions about a specific request, its requirements, your eligibility, or the status of your submission, contact your organization's CommuteHub Manager or Admin. They'll be able to clarify the program rules and help you with any issues.
