CommuteAI is an optional AI-powered assistant that helps users get more out of their commute experience.
Instead of navigating through different parts of the app, users can ask questions or describe what they want to do. CommuteAI can use information from their account to provide personalized answers and, where supported, help them complete tasks.
CommuteAI is an additional feature. Users can continue to use all available features without it.
What can users do with CommuteAI?
CommuteAI can help users with different parts of their commute experience, including:
Plan their commute
Get commute options or recommendations based on their personal commute information.
Manage parking
Check parking availability, get information about parking, or, where supported, book a parking spot.
Keep trips and account details up to date
Get help logging trips, updating their home or work location, or managing vehicle information.
Understand rewards and challenges
Check points, rewards, challenges, rankings, and available commute incentives.
Find help and information
Ask questions about their program or find relevant support information without having to search through the Help Center.
CommuteAI can perform certain actions on a user's behalf. The actions available can vary depending on the features enabled for your organization and where the user accesses CommuteAI. For more information, see [How to use CommuteAI].
Where can users use CommuteAI?
In the app or desktop version
When enabled, CommuteAI is available directly in the app and desktop version.
Users can open the CommuteAI panel and ask questions or choose from suggested prompts such as:
- Best commute options today?
- How's parking right now?
- Show my challenge ranking
- What perks can I earn?
CommuteAI can provide personalized information based on the user's account and perform supported actions, such as updating account information or booking a parking spot, with the user's approval.
In Slack and Claude
Users can also connect to CommuteAI through supported integrations such as Slack and Claude. This allows them to interact with their commute assistant without opening the app.
The experience and available functionality can vary between integrations. For example, users may be able to ask about their commute, parking, rewards, or program, while some actions available in the app may not be supported.
Availability and functionality may change as the integrations develop.
What should I know about AI-generated answers?
CommuteAI uses AI to understand requests and generate responses. While it is designed to provide relevant and personalized assistance, AI can occasionally misunderstand a request or provide an incorrect or incomplete answer.
Users should review important information before relying on an answer. When CommuteAI can take an action, approval steps allow users to review the proposed action before it is completed.
CommuteAI is designed to make the experience easier and more conversational. It does not replace the standard features or support channels.
When using CommuteAI through Slack or Claude, the conversation is also subject to the data handling and retention policies of the respective platform. For example, Slack conversations remain subject to your organization's Slack settings and retention policies.
